Erich Tusch received his Bachelor of
Science Degree in Music Education
from the University of Bridgeport, and
his Master of Arts Degree in Music
Performance from Montclair State
University. He has also completed
post-graduate studies in educational
administration at MSU and the
University of Phoenix, and received a
professional diploma in business
programming from the Computer Processing Institute.
Mr. Tusch is a very active musician and educator. As a performer he has played guitar for a number of regional music groups and has also appeared as a featured vocal soloist throughout the region with groups such as the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra, New York Wind Symphony, Orange County Classic Choral Society, New Jersey Oratorio Society, Festival Theater, Hudson Valley BachFest, the West Point performance of Handel’s Messiah, and the Westchester Symphonic Winds.
Mr. Tusch served as a choral music director, followed by many years as district supervisor of both the fine and performing arts as well as the educational technology programs for a NJ school district. He was the Director of Music for St. Patrick’s RC Church in Highland Mills, NY where he conducted the adult and youth choirs, as well as the youth orchestra for that parish. He has been a guest conductor for the NYSSMA Zone 2 and Zone 9 Area All-State choirs and recently conducted a vocal ensemble comprised of a combination of local church choirs in a performance of Theodore DuBois’ The Seven Last Words of Christ at Union Presbyterian Church in Newburgh. He is currently the Director of Instructional Technology at Hackley School in Tarrytown, NY, where he also assists in the choral program.
